How to Start Affiliate Marketing and go Full-Time in 100 Days

Affiliate Marketing is the most misunderstood business model online today. 

Some allow themselves to be convinced that it’s a quick way to make money, whilst others are led to believe that it requires years of hard work to see any measurable results…

Which one are you?

Both of these are false beliefs and in this post, I’ll show you exactly how you can make a full-time income with affiliate marketing in as little as 100 days, even if you’ve never tried anything online before.

A while ago, a friend of mine asked me:

“What WordPress Theme do you use?”

I said I used Divi and went on to explain that it was the easiest theme I’ve ever seen to build a professional-looking website with no technical knowledge.

I also explained that I built my first website with Divi 2 hours after I started using it and showed her that they had a page where she could test a demo of the theme.

I didn’t say much more, but I did send her the link to the test page.

One day later she told me that she had purchased the theme through my affiliate link. I checked my account and there were the $124.50.

This got me thinking…

“Wow. That’s Affiliate Marketing!”

I mean, I had been doing affiliate marketing for a while now and made a few commissions here and there…

But this was different!

Usually, you need to send hundreds or even thousands of visitors to a page before you get a commission. Why did I get this commission just out of a 2-minute conversation?

Trust!

I had provided my friend with a lot of information in the past and she trusted my expertise in this matter. 

On this occasion, I also provided her with valuable information by explaining exactly what this Theme could do for her.

For some, my conversation with her might sound like a sales pitch, but it wasn’t for me, nor did it sound that way to her. 

And again, why’s that? 

I had provided value previously!

How Most People Start Affiliate Marketing (And Fail)

Most people start affiliate marketing with a mission – become rich fast (and with little effort).

They hear the stories of previous successes and buy into the messages of those who make money by selling the dream.

It’s easy to fall into that trap. I’ve been there!

The most common mistakes beginners make with affiliate marketing are:

1. Thinking that link spamming will eventually lead to commissions – hint: it most likely leads to bans from the platforms where you’re ‘spamming’ the links.
2. Thinking that reviewing a lot of products will lead to a lot of purchases.
3. Trying to promote high-ticket products to get big commissions and spending a lot on advertising thinking you’ll make it back with the sale.

Why don’t these tactics work?

Again, because you need to provide value to a specific audience. (I’ll continue hitting this key, but hopefully, it’ll make more and more sense each time).

Remember the conversation I had with my friend about the WordPress Theme?

Imagine you’re scrolling through Facebook and find a post of mine (you don’t know me) telling you the exact same thing…

“Hey! If you’re looking for a WordPress Theme, you should get Divi. It’s easy to use. You can build a great looking website in just 2h, even if you’ve never built one before. Go to this page to give it a test run!”

Even if you were looking for a Theme, do you think you’d click to buy it?

There’s a chance you’d have a look… If I was lucky enough for you to see my post when looking for a new theme… What are the chances?

But if I were your best friend who just so happens to be a professional blogger, you’d probably buy it without hesitation. Right?

Can I Create a Full-time Income in 100 Days With Affiliate Marketing

Yes. You can!

I know it’s a bold statement, but many have done it…

And it’s not that hard. But it requires a lot of work! 

The question is, can you provide enough value in 100 days to enough people to make a full-time income?

Affiliate Marketing With a Blog

One of the most reliable ways to build an affiliate marketing business is to start a blog on a specific subject where you can provide value.

Why is this reliable?

Because people go to Google looking for solutions to their problems. If you find the questions people are asking Google and write great answers, you’ll be found in the search results and have visitors for a long time.

If in line with your solution, you recommend a product, some of those visitors will buy it and you’ll get paid commissions for it.

This is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It takes a while to learn and even if you’re an SEO expert, getting the attention of a search engine takes time (usually months).

But There Are Faster Ways…

But there are much faster ways to help people and the value you provide grows exponentially with the number of people you can help.

A surgeon provides more value than you probably can (unless you’re one) when saving someone’s life. That’s why they get paid so much money! 

But if you can provide a little bit of value to thousands or millions of people, then you’ll be more valuable than a surgeon!

You get paid according to the amount of value you provide!

No matter who you are or where you are right now there are things you know that others don’t. If you share what you know with those that don’t, you’re providing value!

Easy, right?

The trick is to focus on what you know and find those who don’t!

You already know what you know or are good at, so how can you find those who need your expertise fast?

The fastest way is through Facebook Groups!

Go to Facebook, search for groups in the niche you’ve chosen, and join as many as you can.

Here, similarly to Google, people are asking questions and seeking help from others, the difference is that you don’t need to be an SEO expert or wait to be found in the search results…

You can just start looking for posts and answering people’s questions!

But how will this build you an income, you ask…

You’ll soon understand.

The next step is to optimize your Personal Facebook Profile.

You don’t want to be sending links in those groups. Most of the time they aren’t allowed, and even if they are that just looks spammy and like we discussed before, no one is going to click on them.

But if you start answering people’s questions and giving them amazing solutions, they’ll surely visit your Facebook Profile to see who you are. 

If this profile is optimized to send them to where you want them to go, and this also solves a problem they’re having, you’ll be amazed at how many will follow through and get you paid affiliate commissions.
